Review: Generation Hope #16

Last issue ended with an impressive – and somewhat alarming – display of power from Hope.

So issue 15 ended with Hope Summers basically taking control of Kenji to stop a brawl between the members of her group and some other citizens of Utopia.  As stated it was very impressive, but also rather alarming.  Its startling to a lot of people, but most alarming to Kenji.  After all, she basically took control of him to stop the fight.

This issue really has a lot going on in it.  As mostly stated already, many people showing annoyance to Hope and how she has been doing things.  Not just kids, but even from the likes of people like Emma Frost.  There is other stuff going on in this issue like Velocidad dealing with his powers and attraction to Pixie, and still working on the question of what to do with the Sebastian Shaw; the main focus is on Hope.

Big thing here really is was Bishop right after all and despite people viewing her the messiah and Cable’s work in protecting her for years, what will come of the future?    From the way things are spinning right now, it really does seem we should have been cheering for Bishop in his hunt to kill her, but in the X-Universe the future is never set in stone, right?

About xxadverbxx

I'm a fan of comics. I use to love DC, but events pretty much starting with the New 52 had pushed me off of them for years. Lately though titles like Gotham Academy and We Are Robin have brought me back to them. I'm much more still a Marvel fan though at this moment who I moved to since New 52 slowly kept pushing me away from DC. Often a fan of X-Men titles while I've really been loving Spider-Gwen series. Film wise I'm upset at DC though I really really want them to do good. At least their TV series are mostly enjoyable (though Arrow has dipped in quality), while I'm a huge fan of the Marvel films. Also, I still really hate Dan Didio and still view him as at least most of what has been going wrong with DC comic wise lately.
