I heard this as a rumor, and through searching I found this Bleeding Cool bit and a few others that seem to point that it isn’t just a rumor. Didio apparently has claimed that an iconic and major character in the DC Universe is going to be coming out as being gay.
DCnU Timeline v2.1 (+ rant)
October 16, 2011Version 2.1 is here! Why 2.1? Well this is basically version 2 but with a rant about Crisis events due to a recent message from Didio countering an older interview of Harras and Berganza.
Review: Legion Lost #2
October 15, 2011Legion Lost #1 failed to wow me mostly due to a lack of really setting the stakes, will this do better? The basic answer is: yes.
Review: Deathstroke #2
October 15, 2011Review: Men of War #2
October 5, 2011The first comic I’m looking at is the 2nd issue of one of my favorites of the first wave: Men of War. This did not disappoint me.
SPOILER WARNING!
DCnU Timeline v2
September 23, 2011After skipping last week due to a general lack of info, I’m here with an updated version of my first Timeline! Version 2 has a couple updates and one change from version 1.
What’s New in the DCU – 09/14
September 13, 2011It’s Tuesday. The day before new books hit the shelves. Let’s look at what’s in store for the new DCU:

Batman and Robin #1 - Same book, same creative team. You would never guess this book was involved in a line-wide relaunch. Tomasi is an okay writer and I have always been a fan of Patrick Gleason. That cover is one of my favorite Batman covers of the month.
Level of anticipation – 6 out of 10
Review: Batwing #1
September 12, 2011
Note: This is the preliminary cover, not the final one.
Batwing is brought to us by legendary writer Judd Winick and artist Ben Oliver. And by “legendary,” I really mean “extremely hit-or-miss.” Winick is one of those guys that comes along and writes a very thought provoking story – the resurrection of Jason Todd and his new mission to cause as much grief as he possibly can to his old mentor – and then rides the waves of that story’s success for most of his career. I can’t really say that Red Hood: The Lost Days was particular awe inspiring, nor was his take on Grant Morrison’s take of the Red Hood in Batman and Robin #23-25 (he somehow managed to avoid everything that Morrison did to reinvent the Red Hood as a villain and brought him back to being a guy who trolls Batman). When asked about his Catwoman series for the New 52, he said “sexy” so many times I forgot what the story was about to begin with. So, Batwing did not look to be very inspiring.
DCnU Timeline v1
September 11, 2011
So DC gave us a “relaunch” where bits are the same, others erased, and the general timeline crunched down due to de-aging many (but not all) of the characters. Due to this I at least am very confused on how everything fits in. So with the help of the other bloggers, I’ve decided to piece together a timeline.
Review: Men of War #1
September 8, 2011With DC’s new 52 comes a title that hasn’t been seen since 1978, and though I never read that 27 issue series I must say I’ve been very intrigued how this new one will be.
SPOILER WARNING!
Review: Detective Comics #1
September 7, 2011Last week Justice League #1 started the all new DC 52 line up. This week 13 new comics join it including Detective Comics #1. I warn you now about possible spoilers.
Final Thoughts on the DC Relaunch
August 30, 2011
It’s finally here… almost. Just one more day until Flashpoint #5 brings the current DCU to an end and Justice League #1 launches the new DC Universe. Before that happens, I thought I’d share a few thoughts about what is sure to be a landmark event.
Why this relaunch could have been done without
August 25, 2011We should all know by now that the DC Relaunch is about to take place. In most regards at least, I think this relaunch could and should have been done without. Some of the things could even I will address things in no real order, and maybe add in a few other complaints.
