According to Deadline.com, the studio has finally released some casting information for Christopher Nolan’s third and final Batman film, “The Dark Knight Rises.” Drumroll please…
Anne Hathaway, star of “Rachel Getting Married,” will be playing Selina Kyle – and, though the release merely says ‘Selina Kyle’, we have to assume Catwoman will appear as well. Meanwhile, Tom Hardy, who worked with Nolan on his 2010 sci-fi blockbuster “Inception,” will be playing Bane.
No details are available on the plot, of course, with the film still well over a year away from release, but who else vaguely hopes Nolan ends his Batman trilogy with a broken back? Okay, that would actually be incredibly depressing and would in fact never get made, but still – the cast is strong and there’s a lot of hype, and I’m excited to see where Nolan takes us.
I’m not too sure about Bane, he seems to comic-book for me. The other films have had a sense of realism, which I’m not sure Bane can bring to the film.
